LAKKI MARWAT: The Awami National Party’s district president Sadruddin advocate has said that people had pinned high hopes on Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led provincial government to deliver, but it had failed on all fronts during its over one and half year in office.

He was talking to party’s office-bearers from different union councils at Serai Naurang on Saturday. ANP district general secretary Farmanullah Khan and senior vice presidents, Mamraiz Khan, Fazalur Rahim Khan and Malik Ali Sarwar Khan, were also in attendance.

Mr Sadruddin said that the provincial rulers were not concerned about the problems facing the residents of the militancy and terrorism hit province.

He said that chief minister and ministers wasted two months in the so-called dharnas at Islamabad and didn’t pay any heed to resolve masses’ problems.

“Poor performance of the provincial government has exposed the real face of PTI lawmakers, and that is why they avoid going into public,” said the ANP leader, calling upon workers to accelerate the mass contact campaign in the district.

On the occasion, Malik Ajmal Khan, Malik Noorza Ali Khan and Malik Naseer Khan along with their supporters joined ANP and pledged to spread the message of Bacha Khan and Khan Abdul Wali Khan to every nook of the district.

INAUGURATED: PTI MNA Colonel retired Ameerullah Khan Marwat on Saturday opened an additional classroom at the government primary school, Totiabad, in Lakki City on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ameerullah said that he would ensure provision of basic facilities to all the government schools in the district so as to promote education.

He promised to provide funds for construction of boundary wall and more classrooms in the school.

The PTI lawmaker also directed the municipal authorities to provide water connection to the school to overcome shortage of drinking water.

He assured that the provincial government would be requested to construct a stadium in the locality.
