FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Pool Rounds of the 10th Dawn in Education Spelling Bee concluded on Wednesday at the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium of the Faisalabad Arts Council.

The competition was organised by the Dawn Media Group with the United States Embassy, Islamabad.

Winners of age group 09-11 included Ayesha Sajid, Musa Amin and Romeesa Raghib of Roots IVY International School, Flagship Campus, Faisalabad.

Age group 12-14 winners are: Ahmad Ijaz of Angels Int’l College, Canal Campus, Faisalabad; and Malaika Shehzad and Razzan Sehar of Angels Int’l Higher Secondary School, Civil Lines Campus, Faisalabad.

In age group 15-17, Kshf Lareb, of Iqra International Institute, Main Branch, Faisalabad, Malyaka Imran and Muhammad Hammad Bilal of Angels Int’l College, Canal Campus, Faisalabad, are the winners.

The winners qualified for the Lahore Regional Championship scheduled to be held on November 1 in Lahore.

The Oxford University Press provided judges: Aleem Shakir, Mohammad Bilal, Saira Akhtar, Gul Sana, Aamer Shaheen and Sadia Qamar.

Tanwir Shah was pronouncer and Rabeea Salman the Dawn moderator.

Faisalabad Arts Council Resident Director Tariq Javed distributed certificates among the participants.
