KGS reign supreme at Sindh Open

KARACHI: Karachi Grammar School (KGS) maintained their supremacy in the Sindh Open and Boys Age Goup Swimming Championships which concluded at KG pool here on Sunday.

Karachi Club came second with 165 points and Karachi American School third (156). Hosts KGS finished fourth accumulating 139 points.

Overall 16 records were broken during the two-day competition, Mohammad Saad Amin leaded the recording breaking spree with five records in U-16 and open age groups combined.

Kawas Aga was not far behind with four records also in U-16 and open age groups while Muneeb Shafique broke three records in 12 age group. Abid Abdur Rehman set one new mark while Sultan-uz-Zaman broke three records in the U-8 age group. He emerged as the group champion with 30 points.

Abraham Sheikh (U-10 age group, 116 points), Muneeb Shafiq (U-12, 40 points) remained the winners in their respective categories.

Meanwhile, Aamir Motiwala and Bilal Shibli were joint champions in the U-14 age group with 18 points and Saad Amin won the U-16 title with 40 points.
