Wider service roads

Published October 20, 2014

THE East-sector E-11 service road is the only access available to sector E-11 and D-12 Northern strip. Besides, it gives access to seven marriage halls, each of which has a capacity for at least 1,000 guests.

Then there is heavy traffic from the NLC batching plant and Margala from where construction material arrives in trucks.

The single-lane service road faces traffic jams on a daily basis, especially during school and rush hours.

The condition will further deteriorate with the completion of D-12 and numerous under-construction plazas in sector E-11 having multi-storey residential and commercial buildings belonging to the five cooperative housing societies.

The chairman CDA is requested to look into the matter and have the service roads widened as soon as possible.
