KARAK: Salam Teachers Day was observed here on the occasion of the World Teachers Day on Sunday.

Best teacher awards were given to the male and female teachers for their excellent performances during a ceremony held at the office of the assistant district officer (ADO), education, in Banda Daud Shah tehsil. ADO education Abdullah Khan chaired the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdullah Khan said that commendation certificates awarded to the best teachers was the recognition of their outstanding performance in the field of education.

He stressed on the teachers to devote their energies to provision of quality education of students.

“Teachers should hold debates and parents day competitions on monthly and annual basis to instill a spirit of completion among the students,” he added.

Mr Khan highlighted the role of teachers in the development of the country and said that teachers needed to perform their duties wholeheartedly to come up to the expectations of the nation.
