KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party women wing president Faryal Talpur has expressed concern over the increasing number of polio cases and urged women, especially mothers, to help eradicate polio from the country by ensuring that every child is protected from this crippling disease.

A total of 202 polio cases have been detected in the country between January and October 3 in the country.

The PPP leader, who was speaking to party delegations here on Sunday, said that Pakistan needed to focus on polio eradication and ensure zero tolerance for any negligence in this regard.

She also extended Eid felicitations to all Pakistanis, particularly women who, she said, were the best hope for country’s development.
