ISLAMABAD: Britain’s Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has commended the contribution made by the Pakistani diaspora to the progress of the United Kingdom and acknowledged that the Pakistani community had enriched the country culturally, socially and politically.
Mr Clegg was speaking at the second integration dinner organised by the World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis at a London hotel on Tuesday, said a message received here on Wednesday.
He appreciated the Pakistani community’s ethos of hard work and their successful integration into the British society while also retaining their identity. He termed the UK-Pakistan relations strong and assured his government’s continued support to Pakistan in various sectors.
