IT seems a case of extreme apathy and lack of action on the part of the ministries concerned that more than a dozen complaints have been published on the above subject but no solution is given to mitigate the sufferings of PCSIR pensioners, especially those belonging to Karachi Laboratories.

This has created a lot of difficulties regarding the payment of pensions and other relevant matters. However, pension for only two months (May and June) was disbursed after Eid had passed.

Now Eidul Azha is less than a week away and pensions of July and August have yet to be paid. The secretary and the member finance, ministry of science and technology, are requested to expedite the pending bills for Karachi Labs. This may also include the bill pertaining to the arrears of the revised pension which have already been disbursed to the pensioners of Lahore Labs.
