KARACHI: Pakistan’s two cueists — Mohammad Sajjad and Hamza Akbar — will represent the country in the inaugural Qatar Academy 6-Red snooker championship which is being held at Doha from Oct 18 to 21, the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation said on Tuesday.

They said the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation had extended invitation to their counterparts in Pakistan to send two players in the event which carry total prize money of $13,000.

According to the break-up, the winner will earn $6,000 while runner-up gets US $ 4,000. The losing semi-finalists receive $2,000 apiece whereas players finishing fifth to eighth are entitled for $1,000 each. The two cueists will fly to Doha on Oct 14.
