Just 2 medals so far for Pakistan. The performance looks very horrible. Pakistan needs to work out in sports and find way to win more medals.

One Gold Medal in Women's Cricket for Pakistan.. It is a gift to Pakistan by India.. Because Indian women did not participated in that event. Recently Indian women cricket team won a one off test match against ENGLAND IN ENGLAND. That speaks volume about the strength of Indian women cricket team... Between last Asiad and present Asiad, Pakistan womens cricket team have won no major tournaments. Just for every body's information.. India has to blame itself for not sending a team to Asiad because of Indian Cricket board stupid policy of not participating in multi sports event. Idiotic Srinivasan at the helm of BCCI....

I am also an Indian: It is not a gift by India, u megalomaniac, like some guys across the border ! Those ladies played and won ! So what if it is women's cricket ? could ur sister have played and won ? this is about sport and clap the winner, period !

The loss in Kabaddi rankles the most. Kabaddi is a popular game in every village in Punjab and we still lose it every year by such wide margins. Cricket is draining talent, money and resources from hockey, Kabaddi and squash etc. We cannot afford to be good only in one game but must reorder our priorities in various games.

In a sporting event- loosing is no shame! Especially when two best of two different nations compete. What disappoints me about the performance of sportsmen from Pakistan is that the fighting spirit is somehow missing. Sportsmen from Pakistan were always known for their fighting and never say die spirit. But in this Asiad, the way wrestlers were loosing by 'fall' and sometimes within 1-2 minutes and boxers and squash players were giving up so easily was a sad sight. Good organisation- better coaches and better training- pl wake up! India has not yet arrived there but at least 50 odd times Indians have been on the podium!

@Kanappan- dont gloat, there are no gifts. One should commend that the Pakistani women's cricket team has done its country proud.
Overall the entire sub-continent needs to re-examine its focus on sports. Feel sad to see Pakistan's situation and India is not much better. We may have broadbased our medals, but we lag behind Kazakh, Iran, Taiwan etc...

@Sandeep (and Sasindran), While I agree with you that the Pakistani women played hard and won and deserve all praise, at the same time I concur with Manappan that it was a mistake on the part of India not to send a women's team as well as a men's team -- even if the latter comprised the Under-19 squad. These players need international exposure. There is no alternative to playing matches with the best of other countries. BCCI has slipped up big time here....

As an indian I can tell you that you are sounding no different than those Pakistanis who only see passport color and name(read religon) before commenting. The players played and won. nobody stopped Indian team from participating. Give winners due where they deserve.
