NEW YORK: Several hundred Pakistanis chanting “Go Nawaz Go” and “No Nawaz No” slogans demonstrated in front of the United Nations when Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was addressing the General Assembly on Friday afternoon.
Men, women and children, mostly supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-i- Insaf sprinkled with those of Pakistan Awami Tehrik.
They were carrying Pakistani and PTI flags and placards and some with faces painted with “Go Nawaz Go” slogans.
A large number of women shouting Imran Khan Zindabad were in full spirits.
A small pro-government rally was held but it was eclipsed by PTI workers.
About a dozen Pakistanis calling for the creation of Sindhu Desh also demonstrated.

Yes, Sindhu desh is a good idea. Sindhis are different from Pakistanis. Sindhis should come out on the streets and hold a dharna.

What happened to--- croron ka mandate hai.
Go Nawaz go is become a universal naara.
Winds have changed Mr fake PM ---/-/ mid terms are in order. By doing so you might save some seats ---- if you are made to go then forget about even those seats. And please -- for anyone here , don't say that he has croron kaa mandate and that most of foreign Pakistanis support NS --- 5-10 people were there for him vs 5-700 chanting go Nawaz go. Same in every other country.

@ Hmmmmm whats more embarrassing, Paks protesting in a foreign country or having a joke of a "PM" who has to read from a paper with his head down in broken English like a a pre-school kid in front of the UN? Speaking of foreign soil he spends more time on foreign soil then domestic soil anyways so where do you want them to protest?

Jijaji; what are your views about independent Asam, Nagaland and Kashmir??/ Because these breeds have nothing in common with the rest of India. They enjoy no common culture, history, language, land and religion with the rest of Indians-you better let them live in independent states as the people of these states are already up in arms against Indian as well as they are frequently demonstrating against India on the streets. If India is really a true democracy; then they must hold referendums in these areas.

@ What is wrong about a peaceful protest against a corrupt government? Many pakistanis living abroad would come back if there was good governance in Pakistan.

Our ways of protest and Indian way to project their Country (Picture Dawn, Newsmaker 27.9.14). Ahmedabad (India) Women get their backs painted with portraits of US President Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the United States on a five-day visit.
It is our way to demean our Glorious Country.

Those shouting No Nawaz No may not have realized that PM Nawaz was representing Pakistan not PMLN. By embarrassing Nawaz Sharif at the UN the protestors have embarrassed Pakistan. Shame on them.
