KARACHI: Azeem Ghumman and Faisal Athar inspired Hyderabad Hawks to an inconsequential victory over Larkana Bulls in the alBaraka Bank presents Haier T20 Cup at the National Stadium here on Sunday.

Chasing 152, the Hawks condemned Bulls to their fourth successive defeat in Group ‘A’ when the winning run was scored on the last ball of the 19th over with Azeem remaining undefeated on 50 (41 balls, three fours and one six) after sharing a second-wicket partnership of 62 with Faisal 947 off 37, six fours and one six).

Skipper Sharjeel Khan showed signs of regaining some touch with a feisty 28 from 15 deliveries in an opening stand of 35 with Azeem who was later adjudged man-of-the-match.

The Bulls, batting in hazy conditions after losing the toss in the 9:00am start, hardly settled down; Ayaz Jamali (37 off 31, five fours and one six) and Ghulam Yasin (37 off 30, five fours) added 53 for the fifth wicket.
