MULTAN: Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said on Sunday that he respected senior Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi despite of the statement the former made against him during the PTI rally held in Karachi today.
Qureshi had called Hashmi a 'tainted person' (Daaghi) during his speech delivered to the participants of the PTI rally held in Karachi today.
He further said that it was pertinent to mention that Qureshi used to secretly visit the US consulate and added that the allegations leveled by Qureshi against him were baseless.
Addressing mediapersons in Multan the veteran politician said his point of view differed from that of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and that he had informed Imran Khan that Qureshi would never tender his resignation in the National Assembly.
Talking about Qureshi's accusation of his collusion with the Sharif brothers he said neither Nawaz Sharif nor Shahbaz Sharif had the moral courage to contact him.
Giving financial details of the PTI sit-in being held in Islamabad, Hashmi said that Rs 300 million had been spent by the time he exited the party which included DJ Butt's bill of Rs 45million.
He further claimed that expenditures of more that one billion rupees had been incurred on the anti-government protests so far.
Talking about the London meeting between PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Teherek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, Hashmi said that the meeting had also been attended by Chaudhry Sarwar who later became Governor Punjab.
Hashmi also said that some one had told him about Sarwar's presence and that he could not verify the information.

Hashmi sahab what is the point of all this, you stood there side by side and now level all these accusations. Bow out gracefully by saying that you didn't agree with everything, which is fine it happens in a democratic party. With regards to finances, there are millions of people who donate without personal gains, I am one of them. I have nothing to gain from their success but I do it for the sake of the nation and for future of Pakistan.

Hashmi was the trojan horse in PTI planted by the Shareefs.
You should look at the clip which is about 1 year old or a little more in which Hashmi says Nawaz is still his leader, to understand where his loyalty was from day one.

If you are in living in a perfect world then I probably do agree with Mr. Hashmi's point of view. But in our country where everything is completely messed up, no values, then you just have to focus on "target" not "method" to achieve that target. Removing NS is not a target but to change electoral process is a target. But you can not achieve that target without removing NS.....otherwise after next election you will be complaining again that it was a rigged election because no electoral process was changed. Peace!

It seems like a simple equation now a days. If anyone, anything is not in favor of IK, then it must someone who is paid by some one, anyone. May be CIA, Mossad or NS but it has to be untrue. We should not even ask who is footing the bill.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Javed Hashimi along with other ex PPP and PML-N jumper are not trustworthy. Imran Khan would be best advised to to stay away from former PPP and PML-N leaders and workers.

Hashmi may rail all he wants about his "struggles" against martial law, but we must remember that he was a minister of the Zia givernment like Nawaz Sharif. He likes to call himself 'baghi' as a rebel but he is actually against democracy and only supports it if it means his friends get power. He can talk the talk, but he can't walk the talk, because he is a compromised politician, even before PTI.

Mr. Hashmi, accepting at its face value all you have said as above, the question is, WHY NOW?
Does it mean that, as long as one is in party, he or she compromises on principles, and once out of it he or she takes a stand on matter of principles! Both of you left your respective parties on the basis of difference of opinion on conducting affairs of the party to which you both were affiliated! Today it is you, tomorrow it will be somebody else, then what?
Where is the true Leadership? Who do you want people to follow?

I am not sure what Hashmi's problem is. He did not speak against PML-N leadership this much when they sidelined him - once the corrupt Sharif's returned to Pakistan after enjoying several years of so-called exile in Saudi Arabia - than he has against PTI where he was one of the top leaders. What gives?

Mr Hashmi has lately developed habit of leveling allegations and then saying that he does not have any proof but has rather only heard it from someone. For example he claims Punjab Governor was in the meeting and later on claiming he does not have any proof but has only heard it from others. He did the same against Army backing of PTI earlier when he left the dharna in Islamabad.

Only next elections will tell who is more honorable Qureshi or Hashmi? The silent majority of Pakistanis, educated class and those who are closely following what is going on these days with the alliance of PTI, PAT and PMLQ and friends of Musharaf like Sheikh Rasheed, will teach a lesson to PTI. Imran has lost considerable support no doubt about it. His own party is not slowly breaking apart. Now he will need to have Dhandli orchestrated in his favor for him to come into power. I hope there are elections soon, with in a few months, and we will know where the people stand. Nawaz should order judicial inquiry into last elections and then step down and new elections should happen in next 6 months. For my money's worth what ever Javed Hashmi has said sounds true and he is his a true savior of Democracy. He is obviously a traitor to PTI.

But before elections - PTI sole seat was IK - so PTI's Khan has no choice but offer each and every heavy weight. That tells how much wisdom IK got - none .. Remember calling 'peon'status to Sk. Rasheed and than stands with him. hmm
Remember defending EX-CJ son - and than picking a fight . This man - IK is not fit to lead nuclear armed country - please Pakistan needs more mature - experienced and seasoned politicians - we can not take the risk to have IK be the PM - of a nuclear armed country in the volatile neighbourhood.

We deserve the so called leaders we today have: IK, NS, Zardari, Altaf. We do not deserve anyone who calls it the way it actually is.
We know the sizes and values of Bani Gala, Raiwind House, Bilawal House and Nine Zero, etc. We also know that every major party is run by a dictator who is flanked by the VIPs. Yet most of us see our leader as an angle and the rest as the devil. Hashmi sees these leaders as humans only. When he sees them pushing own cause, be it Bhutto, Zia, NS or IK, he walks out on them. This simple reality just doesn't jive with us highly polarized supporters.
Simply speaking, anyone who sees his leader as a human is misfit in Pakistan today. Hashmi will likely lose his seat this time around. And this will be God's blessing on him. He does not deserve supporters like us and we do not deserve leaders like him...

Firstly, IK didn't take his party into confidence over his secret alliance with QADRI. Secondly, he ignored Core Committee's advice to not cross the red lines etc attack PM house and secretariat. That's what enraged Hashmi and now everyone think's Hashmi is the bad guys. What about all the losers IK has surrounded himself like Chaudhry's, Sheikh Rashid and Qureshi. Will they deliver Naya Pakistan. They couldn't even manage old Pakistan.

If you noticed Hashmi's press conference from 19th september, he spoke good about Imran while criticizing Sheikh Rashid and Qureshi. Some analysts were still finding it possible that Hashmi will return to PTI. Shah Mahmood could sense this possiblity and thats why he made it sure through his speach today that all doors get closed for any reconcilation with Hashmi. So Qureshi's speach in Karachi was duelly calculated by him to get rid of his closest rival in the party.

Point of all this is that Mr Hashmi had a red line which he did not want to cross. He also believes like Imran that Nawaz Sharif came into power and rigging played a big part in it. He is not happy how PML-N governs but he saw where Imran and Mr Qureshi were taking the party . He does not want to associate himself with people who want to come into power via back door with shady deals with shady characters from various parties. There is nothing wrong he has done by being a whistle blower. This is a huge scandal and if proven to be a true conspiracy, the involved people should have pay a price although that will not happen.
