KHUZDAR: Federal Minister for Postal Services Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has alleged that foreign forces are extending support to the sit-ins of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek in Islamabad because they want to destabilise Pakistan and take control of its nuclear assets.
“PTI chairman Imran Khan and PAT leader Allama Tahirul Qadri are promoting a culture which is not in consonance with Islamic teachings and Pakistani traditions,” said Maulana Haideri, who is also general secretary of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl.
He said it was regrettable that a Canadian citizen had been allowed to propagate his agenda and policy in Pakistan.

Addressing a gathering of JUI-F workers at Madressah Tajveedul Quran, he said Imran Khan’s PTI had failed to spend even 30 per cent of the provincial budget on the welfare of people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but he was dreaming of becoming prime minister. He said the hunger strike that Dr Qadri announced would be observed by his supporters at the sit-in was in fact aimed at saving Rs1.7 million daily the PAT leader was spending on their meals.
He said Dr Qadri was working to get those seminaries in Pakistan closed which even Britons had failed to get shut.
Maulana Haideri said the JUI-F had reservations on the results of 2013 general election but was keeping silent in the interest of democracy.
