KARACHI: A high-level delegation, led by US Ambassador Richard Olson and new Consul-General Brian Heagh, called on chairman KPT Vice Admiral Shafqat Jawed on Wednesday and discussed matters of mutual interest.

The US ambassador appreciated the capacity building programme and progress on developing deep water container port which would enable the port to handle post-Panamax mother vessels.

The delegation was also apprised of the cable-stay bridge that would provide connectivity of port and would make it capable of handling cargo of national as well as transit trade.
