Cricket-starved Pakistan on Tuesday welcomed the trophy of the next year's World Cup, with skipper Misbah-ul-Haq vowing to win it for the sake of isolated nation and its terror-hit people.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) set the most coveted trophy in the game for a world tour to spark interest for the mega event to be staged in Australia and New Zealand from February 14 to 29 March 2015.

There is no denying that there is a lot of talent in Pakistan, but talent alone is not enough. Talent has to be put to proper use with strategic planning by competent decision makers. Unfortunately in our case we have talent but do not use it properly, there is no planning and the decision makers are not competent (to say the least). Look at the way they have wasted talented cricketers like Fawad Alam, Sarfraz Ahmed, Abdul Razzaq, Hammad Azam and so many more. While persisted with the likes of Humayun & Imran Farhat etc etc....If the PCB can get it's act together Pakistan may not win the World Cup but will atleast put a good fight and come out as a leading cricket team.

In typical Pakistani style, we should not return the trophy and even deny it ever came to Pakistan or follow the Chinese model: return a cheap fake and keep the original. Or follow the Indian model: let everyone in slums of Mumbai lick it, then no one will want it.

Yaar, I am thinking. What if Misbah wins the world cup for Pakistan? Then PCB will make him the captain of Pakistan for the rest of his Life!!!

Better they touched and it is their last glimpse of the trophy. There are very very remote chances of Pakistan reaching finals with a foreign office beauracrat at the helm of affairs in PCB, and puncture man Sethi still holding the post of Chairman governing body. Same old wine in new bottle

And no body invited the legendary Imran Khan.?
He is the only one who have won the world cup, you cannot take this away from him. This is the fact, he won it.
Discrimination all over PCB and government.

Those who are not hopeful of Pakistan wining the World Cup remember what Iqbal said:

There is always light at the end of the tunnel.
