Beyond democracy

Published September 15, 2014

KINDLY refer to Nizar Diamond Ali’s opinion ‘Beyond democracy’ (Aug 21). It is thought-provoking and intriguing.

I would recommend to the political leadership of Pakistan to take out some time to read this article.

A question has been asked whether democracy is suited for a country like Pakistan. The top leadership, especially of the PML-N and PPP, shall have to do a lot of soul-searching if they want to answer it in the positive.
