KARACHI: Hosts Thailand handed a 4-1 stunning defeat to Pakistan to complete rout in the Asia Oceania zone group two Davis Cup final at the National Tennis Development Centre on Sunday.
Having already won two singles and a double on the preceding two days, the hosts won the first reverse singles through Danai Udomchoke who accounted for M. Abid 6-0, 6-1. Pruchya Isarow retired when the score was one-set all in the third set of second reverse singles against Samir Iftikhar. Earlier, both won one set each.

Singles: Pruchya Isaraw bt Aisam-ul-Haq 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2; Danai Udomchoke bt Samir Iftikhar 6-0, 6-4, 6-1.
Doubles: Sanchai Ratiwatana and Sonchat Ratiwatana bt Aqeel Khan and Aisam-ul-Haq 7-5, 6-2, 6-2.
Singles: Danai Udomchoke bt M. Abid 6-0, 6-1; Samir Iftikhar bt Pruchya Isarow 6-4, 3-6, 1-1 (retired)
