LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif says those bringing a bad name to politicians and politics should now quit the politics.
"Imran Khan has committed the biggest rigging of the history and now is not in a position to face 180 million people of the country," he says. He was talking to PML-N assembly members from various districts here on Tuesday.
Shahbaz lamented that Imran Khan had the political approach of the previous century in 2014. He said that nation had the right to question the PTI chief that why he (Imran) after expressing confidence in the current political system during a meeting at his Bani Gala residence with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a few months ago, needed to attack the Prime Minister's House, parliament and PTV building "by joining a character like Tahirul Qadri".
He said all political parties during a joint session of the parliament not only condemned this attack but also expressed their determination to fully protect democracy and the Constitution.
Shahbaz stressed upon assembly members to advise PML-N workers to show tolerance and restraint and not respond to provocations of opponents.
