NTS needs revamp

Published September 2, 2014

NOWADAYS the recruitment test process is conducted by NTS for career opportunities. Each aspirant is charged approximately between Rs800 and Rs1000 for print-out copies, pictures, bank deposit and document-sending charges.

While the NTS announces the last date for submitting forms, it hardly ever announces the test date which makes the situation difficult for candidates who have already applied for career jobs.

Aug 31 was announced as the test date for FIA and career opportunity jobs which was later postponed to Sept 7. The FIA test too was held on the same day.

All these unplanned decisions and last-minute changes puts most of the candidates in the lurch besides wasting their money. Who is responsible for causing inconvenience to the candidates?

Once the test date has been announced, it should not be changed. Besides, the tests for two different sectors should not be conducted on the same day.
