MULTAN: Rubbishing reports of any rifts with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, senior party leader Javed Hashmi on Friday said the media was behind what he called the spreading of wrong information.
Speaking to reporters in Multan, Hashmi said he had no differences with anyone in PTI, adding that he had been taken into confidence over each and every decision the party had made in relation to the Azadi march and the ongoing protests.
Hashmi also lamented at the role of the media which he said painted a fallacious picture of his dealings with Imran. "Sometimes they say I am ill...that I should leave politics and sometimes they say Imran and I have differences," he said.
The PTI leader advised the media to play its role in a fair and efficient manner, saying the ongoing political crisis had taken on critical proportions and that people's lives as well as the country's economic state was at stake.
Earlier, Hashmi had left the sit-in venue for Multan and rumours were abounding that he had left the capital after developing differences with the PTI chairman.
