ISLAMABAD: Australian women recorded a 37-run win over Pakistan in the fourth ODI of the Commonwealth Bank International Women’s Series in Brisbane on Thursday.

Batting first, Australian women set a total of 220-9 from their 50 overs which Pakistan failed to chase down as they were bowled out for 183 in the final over.

According to a press release issued here, Erin Osborne was named player-of-the-match for her all-round performance which included 47 runs and two wickets.

Osborne anchored Australian innings with an unbeaten knock of 47 which is her highest international score. She worked hard in the middle order with Delissa Kimmince (42) who joined the side for her first match of this series to put on a 41-run partnership and push their side’s total to 9-220.

Pakistan captain Sana Mir (3-44) was the pick of the bowlers, taking three key wickets.

Pakistan top-order batting again proved solid with Javeria Khan (54) and Bismah Maroof (26) putting on a 79-run stand leading the run-scorers for their side. However, both succumbed to Osborne who finished with figures of 2-25 to cap off an impressive all-round performance.

Sarah Coyte was superb bowling at the death as she cleaned up the tail-end, finishing with figures of 3-32.

Nicole Bolton was named player-of-the-series for being the leading run-scorer with 152 runs which included an unbeaten knock of 81 in the third ODI. Ten-wicket haul by Jess Jonassen put her on top of the list of wicket-takers in the series.
