Pakistan actor and model, Sara Loren, was replaced by Bollywood's not-so-famous Sonal Chauhan, at the Lakme Fashion Week, which recently concluded in Mumbai.

According to Indian media, a source close to the actor said that the organisers wanted a better known face on the ramp.

“Sara Loren was asked to be the showstopper for designer Purvi Doshi’s show on Thursday last week, but on Wednesday night, she was told that she needn’t come in for the show. Turns out that Sonal Chauhan had been finalised as the showstopper,” said a source.

“They wanted a more known face to be on the ramp and this is why they were approaching other actresses. Then Sonal agreed to be the showstopper but she did not want any other actress to walk along with her. So Sara was dropped from the show,” added the source.

Sara’s spokesperson confirmed that the actress was informed about the replacement at the last minute.
