MR Nawaz Sharif must walk to the place of the sit-in if he must address the ongoing crisis in the capital.

The government must address the objections by the third largest political party in Pakistan if it truly honours the mandate of Pakistanis. If it does not, it would strengthen Mr Khan’s argument that the government has disrespected the mandate and does not care about the larger interests of Pakistan.

The PTI has taken a peaceful way of protesting. The delay by the government in seeking political reconciliation is only adding to the frustration and anger of the public and will hurt the country. The one in power must show sensitivity and must bend, if it truly is a democratic leadership.
