PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani has dismissed from service one inspector and two sub-inspectors of Frontier Reserve Police for committing fraud in recruitment process of the force.

A police spokesman said on Wednesday that the IGP suspended Frontier Reserve Police inspector Shakeel Khan and sub-inspectors Noor Mohammad and Amin Khan over their involvement in the illegal recruitment of 378 candidates in the force. An enquiry committee was constituted to probe the allegations against the defaulting officers, which found them guilty of the offence.

The police spokesman said that the enquiry committee submitted its report to the IGP on Wednesday, adding that a notification of dismissal of the three personnel was issued on the same day.

Meanwhile, the IGP Nasir Khan Durrani, through another notification on Wednesday, suspended SHO Phandu police station, sub-inspector Noor Haider, on public complaints against him.

The provincial police chief also directed central police office to conduct further inquiry against the suspended SHO and submit report to him at the earliest.
