ISLAMABAD: Plot holders in Sector G-14 have called for re-evaluating the revised estimate charges, announced in respect of built-up property (BUP), besides expediting development work in the sector.

The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) had announced increase in “Built up property (BUP) charges for plot owners in Sector G-14.

The allottees have rejected the charges as these will put additional burden on them.

The FGEHF had issued notices to the allottees, saying that consequent upon assessment of BUPs of sector G-14/1, 2, 3, charges have been revised.

According to the notice, during the assessment process of BUPs, the assessment committee realised that due to adjudication in the IHC, there was additional financial implication for allottees of G-14.

Therefore, it was decided in the executive committee meeting that additional financial liability may be distributed amongst the allottees of the sector.

The revised category wise estimate of additional financial impact of category I of 500 sq yds, the BUP rates are being increased from Rs396,000 to Rs984,000, Cat II of 356 sq yds, from Rs282,000 to Rs700,000, Cat III of 272 sq yds from Rs215,075 to Rs535,300, Cat IV of 200 sq yds from Rs158,400 to Rs393,600 and Cat V of 111 sq yds rates had been revised from Rs87,900 to Rs218,450.

The allottees of Sector G-14 said that they did raise the issue for early possession but now FGEHF levied additional cost in respect of BUP which was an additional burden on them.
