Pakistan fall to sixth in Test rankings

KARACHI: A 2-0 whitewash at the hands of hosts Sri Lanka has forced Pakistan to fall two places down to sixth spot in the ICC Test rankings.

The series result has helped the hosts to move up one place to fourth position. Sri Lanka gained six ratings points and Pakistan were docked seven rating points after the two-match Test series concluded on Monday.

England after their 3-1 series win have vaulted two places to third while India have slipped one place to fifth. England now lead Sri Lanka by three ratings points.

India and Pakistan are on equal points at 96, but India are ranked ahead of Pakistan men when the ratings are calculated beyond decimal point.

South Africa are sitting on top but Australia are just one rating point behind.
