SWABI: A man along with two members of family was killed by his estranged wife in Kalu Khan area here late on Thursday.

A police investigator told Dawn that Haleemzada was married to Hina Haleem but their relationship turned sour recently after the man asked his wife to limit outdoor activities.

He said things worsened when the woman didn’t comply with the ‘orders’.

The investigator said the woman along two armed men made a forced entry into Haleemzada’s house in Mohallah Mamakhel late on Thursday and opened fire killing his brother, mother and sister on the spot.

He said killers issued death threats to other members of the family, too, before fleeing.

Akbar Ali later moved the police against his sister-in-law. The police raided a house in the area and arrested Hina.

When contacted, station house officer of the Kalu Khan police station said investigation into the killing was underway to identify accomplices of the suspected killer.
