There were people who were against the creation of this country but now they have become the champions of Islam and are keen to impose their version of Islam where there is no room for other schools of thoughs.

The qualification to be a member of CII (or its chairman), should be the same as of a Propessor of Islamic Studies in a reputable university. He/she should be a PhD with a well established published record of international repute. These positions should not be filled with Mullahs who have no knowledge and understanding of the challenges of the moderm world.

@MA we need to go one step further, 50% of the CII posts must be represented by women. This tired old male dominated stuck in past. We need to drag these old men into the 21st century.

@Pak Rat: Sadly these scholarly positions are made political to promote peronal and party's interest rather than promoting the interest of this nation. Therefore, now the result is in fornt of us. Another sad situation is that we never learn lessons - nor we intend to do so.

JUI and JI do not want Article 245 because this will lead to military court trials of terrorists.
