LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday granted protective bail to PML-N MPA Rana Shoaib Idrees facing charges of attacking a police station in Faisalabad.
The court allowed the bail till Aug 11 on personal surety and restrained the police from harassing the suspect-MPA.
The suspect appeared before the court along with his counsel and stated that police had implicated him in a 'fabricated' case.
The MPA said raids were being conducted to arrest him. He said he wanted to join investigation but the police were harassing him and there was a possibility of his arrest.
He requested the court to grant him protective bail so that he could join investigation without arrest.
