KARACHI: Aggressive knocks from Nadeem Javed and Jahandad Khan guided Eaton CC into the semi-finals of the 2nd Peace Cup T20 Night Cricket Tournament with a comprehensive 50-run win over United Sports here on Tuesday.

Batting first in the second quarter-final at the Naya Nazimabad Lawai Stadium, Eaton CC totalled 156-5 with man-of-the-match Nadeem hitting 68 (51 balls, six fours and four sixes) and Jahandad 51 (21 balls, seven sixes).

The fourth-wicket partnership between Nadeem and Jahandad yielded 98 runs in only 42 deliveries. Usman Javed scored a 36-ball 32 with five boundaries.

United sports, in reply, were dismissed for 116 in 18 overs. Shahzaib Nazar (37 off 28 balls, four fours and one six) and Wasim Akhtar (27 off 20, two sixes) were the main scorers.

Slow left-armer Saadat Munir bowled splendidly to snare 3-16.
