KHAR: The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has finally started supply of essential commodities to its outlet in Khar under the Ramazan package.

Manager of the outlet told Dawn on Monday that the USC regional headquarters in Dir had resumed supply of essential commodities under the Ramazan package. He added that the supplies were suspended over unknown reasons.

He said that political administration had ordered immediate resumption of supplies after taking serous notice of unavailability of essential commodities in the outlet.

The official said that essential items, including atta, sugar, ghee and syrups were being supplied to the outlet. He said the officials of regional headquarters had agreed to continue daily supplies till the last day of Ramazan.

The tribesmen have expressed satisfaction over resumption of edibles’ supply to the USC outlet in Khar. However, they complained that essential commodities were still in shortage.
