LAHORE: Thieves and robbers struck six times in the provincial capital on Monday, taking away cash, jewellery, prize bonds and valuables worth Rs10.9 million, police said.

Thieves broke into the office of Chaudhry Ayub in the Quid-i-Azam Industrial Estate and made off with valuables and prize bonds worth about Rs3 million.

Unidentified people sneaked into the garments factory of Maqsood in Javed Plaza, Karim Block, in the Gulshan Iqbal police jurisdiction and took away cash, generators, electric goods and machinery worth Rs2.5 million.

Thieves struck the house of Muhammad Shoaib in Ravi Block Iqbal Town and made off with cash, jewellery and other valuables all worth Rs2 million.

Unidentified people broke into the house of Faisal Bilal in Qasurpura in Shafeeqabad police jurisdiction and took away cash and valuables all worth Rs2 million.

Two robbers held Haji Abdur Rasheed and his family in B-1 Township and robbed them of cash, jewellery and cell phones worth Rs1.3 million.

Two robbers stopped Azeem near Asif Chowk in the Islampura police jurisdiction and deprived him of Rs431,000.
