Three die in Peshawar cylinder blast

PESHAWAR: At least four people were killed and three others injured on Monday in a cylinder explosion on Peshawar's Ring Road.

Police said the blast took place while a vehicle was filling Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) at a filling station situated on Ring Road.

The victims were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for medical treatment.


Gang of robbers arrested


Chamkani Police claimed the arrest of five robbers and recovery of arms and ammunition following an encounter in Dawoodzai area of Peshawar on Monday.

Police said that the gang had fired upon a police raiding party in Charsadda’s suburban Naguman area a few days earlier and had managed to escape from the scene.

One policeman was also injured in the exchange of fire that had taken place in Naguman area.
