PESHAWAR: Tremors were felt in several parts of the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday.

The epicenter of the 5.4 magnitude earthquake was in the Hindu Kush mountains and its depth was measured at 60 kilometres.

According to the meteorological department, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

The tremors from the quake were felt in Peshawar, Dir, Shangla, Takht Bhai, Malakand, Swat and adjoining areas leading to fear and panic among residents.
