Tite favourite to replace Scolari

SAO PAULO: Former Corinthians manager Tite has emerged as the favourite to succeed Luiz Felipe Scolari as coach of Brazil after the World Cup.

Scolari is widely tipped to step down following Brazil’s clash with the Netherlands for third place in Brasilia on Saturday.

Other candidates mooted for the role are Sao Paulo coach Muricy Ramalho and former Brazil and Real Madrid boss Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

Scolari told friends and family of his intention to resign.
