1.5kg heroin recovered from Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD: Airport security officials on Tuesday arrested a passenger at the Benazir Bhutto International airport in Islamabad after recovering 1.5kg heroin from his possession, DawnNews reported.

According to the sources, a person at the Islamabad airport was caught by the security personnel who were scrutinising his luggage at the Anti-Narcotics Forces (ANF) counter.

The heroine was worth several hundred thousand rupees.

The passenger was leaving for Dubai from where he planned to go to London, sources said.

ANF officials arrested the suspect and began investigating the incident.
