ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has convened a joint meeting of the committees representing the government and the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan on Wednesday.
It will be the first joint meeting of the committees after Taliban’s announcement of ending ceasefire but keeping the doors open for dialogue.
According to an official, the progress of the peace process will be reviewed in the meeting.
An official said the government expected the TTP not only to extend the ceasefire but also to reciprocate itsgoodwill gesture of releasing 19 non-combatant Taliban.
