RAWALPINDI: On the second day of the 11th National Women Softball Championship, being played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Punjab by winning both matches has reached on top followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Four matches were played on Saturday. In the first match, Punjab beat Sindh 17-4.

Punjab’s Sabhat Rashid, Rabia and Zanib showed brilliant performance by making two runs each.

In the second match, KP defeated Balochistan 13-3.

Hajra, Kiran and Kudija Biib made two runs each for the winners.

In the third match, Islamabad overcame defending champions Sindh 15-13 in a close encounter.

Sindh had to taste 10-3 defeat at the hands of KP in the fourth match of the day.

Punjab is on the top as it has won all its three matches, while KP is on the second position by winning two out of three matches.

Former DG of the Pakistan Sports Board Dr Abdul Waheed Mughal and District Sports Officer Manzhar Shah were the chief guests of the second day.
