QUETTA: Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has rejected allegations of corruption levelled against his government by the opposition parties and asked them to produce evidence against him.
Addressing a Balochistan Assembly session on Thursday, the chief minister said there was no truth in the opposition members’ allegations that their development projects had been dropped and pointed out that 60 per cent of allocated funds had been granted to the ongoing projects.
The session was chaired by Speaker Mir Jan Jamali.
Opposition members, however, staged a walkout in protest against the exclusion of their proposed schemes from development budget.
Dr Malik said the walkout was in fact aimed at covering up the corruption committed during the previous government.
