KARACHI: Upcoming all-rounder Kainat Imtiaz continued her remarkable form in the Senior Inter-District Women’s Cricket Tournament as Omar Associates qualified for the final after defeating Karachi Zebras by 136 runs at the National Stadium on Wednesday.

Batting first, Omar Associates amassed 284-4 in their 50 overs with skipper Kainat scoring 88 from 73 deliveries with the help of 11 boundaries. Omaima Sohail made 74 with eight fours while Muneeba Ali hit 43.

Karachi Zebras, in reply, were sent packing in 49 overs for only 139. Sana Taj was their main run-getter with 69.

Shumaila Qureshi, Rida Hussain, Ramin Shamim and Hafsa Khalid each claimed two wickets.
