PESHAWAR: The Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) has called a meeting of its central executive committee (CEC) on Nov 21 to review the ongoing political scenario after its coalition with the government of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa came to an end.

Sources in the QWP told APP on Monday this meeting was likely to ratify the decisions of the party to sit on the opposition benches in the KP Assembly and of publishing a white paper on the six months’ performance of the PTI government.

Chairman of the QWP, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, will likely to preside over the meeting.

The sources said application for sitting on the opposition benches has been submitted in the office of Speaker KP Assembly.

It may be recalled that QWP had quit the coalition government after its two ministers were expelled from the KP cabinet on corruption charges. — APP
