It doesn’t come as a surprise that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan (who was once known as the lead singer of a rock band) has signed up for an Indian film, a remake of Khoobsurat (a 1980s classic). His serial Humsafar, which ran on Hum TV last year, had acquired unprecedented popularity not just in Pakistan but also across the border. It was only a matter of time that he received an offer from Bollywood.

The thing to be noticed here is that his co-star in the film is none other than Sonam Kapoor who apparently is very picky when it comes to her leading men. The shooting for the project has already kicked off. Let’s see if Fawad K makes a similar impression on Indian audiences that he made on their Pakistani counterparts with Humsafar. If he does, good on him! If he doesn’t, well he might have to hum and suffer.
