Published September 4, 2013

LAHORE, Sept 3: The Punjab Food department is likely to start releasing wheat from its warehouses in a day or two after the government announced wheat release price at Rs1,330 per 40 kg on Tuesday. The price did not please the flour industry which said the mills would face losses as the wheat price per 40 kg would reach Rs14,05 with addition of cost of gunny bags, transportation and market price. It said the government should have fixed the release price up to Rs1,275.—Staff Reporter
