The application was filed by Haroon Rashid, son of Ghazi Abdul Rashid of Lal Masjid, alleging disobedience on part of Islamabad police for registering FIR against former president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf.

An IHC bench on July 12, 2013 had directed the Islamabad police to proceed with the matter after recording the statement of the petitioner Haroon Rashid and register FIR, if any cognizable offence has been made.

The petitioner Haroon Rashid through his counsel Tariq Asad advocate adopted before the court that consequential to the court orders they went to Abpara police and recorded their version but the Islamabad police not yet implemented court orders.

The petitioner has requested the court to initiate contempt of court proceedings against the Islamabad police officials.
