ISLAMABAD: The death of security guard Amin Hussain Sherazi, who was in his 40s and retired Ranger official, saddened every person in Masjid-i-Ali as he was not only punctual but a very responsible person.

Father of three children, youngest being just one-and-a-half-year-old, was a resident of Kohat, Dawn has learnt.According to an official of the mosque, there were four guards deputed for Friday prayers.

When the suicide attacker entered the mosque and opened fire, three guards took cover but Sherazi stood in front of him and was shot in the chest. This injured Sherazi severely while the other guards shot the suicide attacker dead.

Mr Sherazi was shifted to hospital along with three other injured persons but he died of injuries.

Murtaza Hussain, a relative of deceased Sherazi was informed about the incident and he came and received the body and shifted it to Kohat and buried it there.

Former president of administration committee of the mosque Jabir Hussain Shah while talking to Dawn said Sherazi had joined the security staff of the mosque on July 7 and was never found absent even for a minute during his duty timings. No one ever had any complaint against him, he said.—A Reporter
