LAHORE, Aug 8: A selfless fighter for the rights of his community and veteran journalist, I.H. Raashed, died of heart failure on Thursday. He was 82.
A trade unionist to the core and a fatherly figure for the journalist community, Mr Raashed suffered a heart attack after Fajr prayers and died soon afterwards at his residence in Allama Iqbal Town, Jehanzeb Block.
Funeral prayers were attended by a large number of journalists, friends and relatives. He was laid to rest at the Miani Saheb graveyard.
Mr Raashed leaves behind his wife, a son and three daughters.

From Almighty God we all come and to HIM we all have to return one day, sooner or later. Successful are only those who have spent their mortal lives inline with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the great Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
May God Almighty bless the departed soul in peace and solace at the Jannatual Firdous and grant his grieved family, relatives, peers, pals, associates, classmates, fans, supporters, sponsors, community and clan members the courage and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Aameen, Tsum Aameen.
