IN our country democracy is strict on having votes from the public but there’s no implementation of the law at any level. I am a citizen of Pakistan and my main concern is the development of my region and the country. I am connected with the public, as well as with government officials and elected representatives.

Every brick klin owner is responsible for submitting 7pc tax annually/per brick klin labour to Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI).

According to the PESSI Ordinance 1965, Rs540 social security tax will be paid by brick kiln owners so that brick klin labour can also get benefits regarding social security dispensary etc, where people can get free basic facilities.

But brick-kiln owners do not pay the tax. They are not implementing the bonded labour system (Abolition) Act 1992. The Punjab chief minister should make sure the departments concerned resolved the issue of social security cards for brick-kiln labourers.
