LAHORE, June 10: The PML-Q on Monday submitted a resolution to the Punjab Assembly demanding holding of local government elections without any delay.

PML-Q deputy parliamentary leader Waqas Hasan Mokal in the resolution said the PML-N government during its last five-year tenure did not hold the local bodies polls. He said now the PML-N government should not repeat its history and announce schedule for the local government elections forthwith.

PML-Q’s Samina Khawar Hayat and Amir Sultan Cheema also submitted two more resolutions demanding free education for the children aged between 5 and 16 under the 18th Amendment and condemning the killing of Burmese Muslims.
