Oz The Great and powerful

The movie Oz The Great and Powerful tells about events that take place before those in the famous book The Wizard of Oz and its movie, and how Oscar, the famous wizard of Oz, and arrived in the magical Emerald City. Our hero Oscar (played by Jaes Franco) is a not-so-honest magician and when he runs away on a hot air balloon to save his life, he lands in a pond in a magical land, the land of Oz. He is taken to be the wizard who has been prophesied to arrive there and possess great powers. Oscar, the opportunist as he is, quickly plays along. He encounters three witches Theodora (Mila Kunis) and Evanora (Rachel Weisz), who seem to be very friendly to him, and Glinda, the Wicked Witch (Michelle Williams), whose wand he has to break in order to be able to rule the land and become rich beyond his dreams. But soon he finds that he is not going to have such an easy time because nobody there is actually as they seem and he needs to find out who is really his friend, who is playing tricks with him and using him for their own advantage. The characters of China Doll, Finley, the flying monkey, and some of the beloved characters of the original tale and the fantastical landscape are there and they become even more enjoyable due to the 3D effect that makes the movie a truly amazing experience.
